Hello, My name is Kim Kaufman and at the age of five I was diagnosed with two eye conditions. The first, deviated vision, or crossed eyes could be fixed with an extensive surgery that at the time was considered pretty cutting edge. The second, retinitis pigmentosa or RP has no cure and will eventually lead to blindness. The progression of the disease was unknown, but I didn’t have to wait for RP to make me blind. By the time I was a young adult I was already there; spiritually blind, and dead inside. And I would’ve remained that way, but for God. He opened my eyes to my need for Jesus and to His steadfast love for me. I was blind, and he made me see. Amazingly after I gave my life and heart to Jesus, he would also use my impending blindness as a catalyst to ignite in me a fire for his Word.
And sharing that fire for deeper Bible study is my passion.
My passion is God’s Word because it is true truth; an infallible and beautiful picture of the just God who through his steadfast love entered human history in the person of Jesus Christ to become the justifier by becoming the propitiation for our sins. God’s Word is sharper than a two edged sword, powerful to both save and sanctify us and is our weapon of offense against Satan. As we navigate this life God’s Word is both our comfort and our compass because it tells us of the finished work of Jesus Christ, the anchor for our souls.
.My mission is to study my Bible, God’s beautiful and perfect Word to me, by viewing it from different “altitudes“ and digging it to deeper depths in order to::Expand my vision of God,Deepen my love for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and be forever and in greater degrees transformed into His image through the renewal of my mind by the work and power of the Holy Spirit. AND to help others do the same. All for the glory of God.
My goal is to have God’s Word continue to work on me, never leaving me even when I have to leave it to go about my day.
And I love every opportunity through writing, blogging, teaching and speaking to show women how they can do the same through the Blessed Eyes God has given each of His daughters.
If you wold like more information on contacting me to speak at one of your women’s events follow the speaking link below.
And don’t forget to pray for blessed eyes And then “pray for the fullest use of them everyday.” - John Piper
